Vaccinations

Every pet must have current vaccination prior to checking in. Pets that have not been vaccinated for more than 12 months must be vaccinated no less than ten (10) days before checking-in for boarding. By law, vaccination certificates need to be sighted by a staff member prior to your pet entering the facility.

Dogs Require: C5 Vaccination. Note: Dogs that receive the 3 yearly vaccination will still require the yearly canine cough vaccination.
Cats Require: F3 Vaccination, or higher.

We recommend that you consult your vet prior to boarding, to ensure your pet has the appropriate cover.

Flea and Worm Treatments

All pets should be free of fleas and internal parasites upon arrival at Paw Park. We recommend treatment be administered 2 weeks prior to check in. Any pets that are found to have fleas or internal parasites will receive immediate treatment and a charge added to the owners account.

Safe Transfer

Your pet’s safety is important to us, therefore, ALL pets entering and exiting Paw Park must be on a leash or in a carrier at all times until they are in the care of our staff. Please make us aware if someone other than yourself is picking up your pet, as a matter of security pets will not be released to people we are not expecting. Please be aware it is NSW law that pets must be properly restrained while travelling in a vehicle.

Entire Cats

Due to hygiene issues we do not accept entire male cats.

Veterinary Treatment

If your pet becomes sick or is injured during their stay Paw Park will seek Veterinary treatment. We will (except in case of emergency) make reasonable efforts to contact the owner or emergency contact prior to seeking treatment. Our nearest vet is Evans Head Veterinary Clinic and all pets will be treated there unless otherwise specified. We welcome your advice and knowledge of your pet as the more information we have about your pet enables us to give the best possible care. All veterinary accounts will be required to be paid to Paw Park by the pet’s owner before departure as outlined in the boarding agreement.

Food and Medication

We feed a variety of premium quality foods during your pets stay. If your pet has special dietary requirements, you are welcome to provide your pets regular food. Please ensure it is packaged in zip-lock bags or plastic containers with your pets name on it. If you require medication to be administered to your pet please ensure you supply medication in its original packaging with the name of the prescribing vet and dosage instructions clearly visible. There will be a small extra charge added to your account as per our fee schedule.

Exercise

We include a daily playtime as a standard service for all our canine guests. Cats will be offered time to relax in our Catrium (weather permitting), and to play on our selection of cat poles.

Bedding and Belongings

We will provide your pet with quality bedding, but if you wish to lessen your pets stress in the boarding environment we encourage you to bring a bed, blanket or favourite toy for them. Any items you provide must be clean washable items that your pet is able to have unsupervised and be clearly marked with your pets name. Any bed or bedding damaged by guests will be charged to the owners account at cost price.

General

Paw Park reserves the right to refuse admittance to any animal. No admittance will be offered to any pet which doesn’t have proof of current vaccination, who displays signs of having a contagious condition, demonstrates aggressive behaviour or appears generally unwell. Our prices, policies and hours are not negotiable and are subject to change without notice.

Bathing

All dogs must be clean upon arrival. If your dog requires bathing when checking in this will be done with quality products and charged to your account. Alternately you may wish to bath your dog using our dog wash at check in or pick up at a reduced rate. You can advise us of additional bathing requirements during check in.

Hygiene

The health and safety of your pet is important to us, and we adhere to strict cleaning and sanitising routines to ensure your pets stay is clean and comfortable. Runs are cleaned daily and thoroughly disinfected between guests. Common areas are sanitised daily and whenever soiled.
