WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
We supply everything that your dog or cat needs for their stay. If you would like to bring a favourite toy or blanket please only bring items that your pet can have unsupervised and can be laundered easily. Please don’t bring bowls, we have plenty available and don’t always remember to return them. Bean bags are not permitted for any pet.

WHAT ABOUT VACCINATIONS?
For any dog boarding with us they must have a current C5 vaccination or higher, and for all cats a current F3 vaccination or higher. If you are unsure of your pets level of cover or have misplaced your certificate please give your vet a call. Be sure to bring their certificate with you at check in as we will not allow entry to any pet whose vaccination cannot be confirmed.

CAN MY DOGS/CATS SHARE?
Our runs are of a suitable size to accommodate multiple family members. A large age difference can sometimes be an issue for dogs especially, but call us to discuss any queries or concerns you may have.

MY PET HAS NEVER BOARDED BEFORE, THEY SLEEP ON MY BED, WILL THEY BE OK?
Most pets are far more adaptable than we think and enjoy the activity and human interaction that they might not receive if left at home with someone coming to feed them once a day. If your pet is at all unsure, the staff at Paw Park will be giving them extra opportunity for snuggles and belly rubs. First time guests sometimes take a day or two to settle in, but once they work out that we are here to give them lots of love they usually get quite excited about a visit to Paw Park.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE DAILY RATE?
We supply all food, treats, a daily play in the exercise areas, and dogs that are with us for 8 days or longer also receive a complimentary bath, brush and blow dry.

WHAT TIME CAN I DROP OFF AND PICK UP MY PET?
Our office is open from 8am until 4 pm for checking in and out. Out of hours drop off and picks ups are available by prior arrangement, but charges do apply.

DO I NEED TO BRING FOOD?
We supply a variety of super premium food and treats for your pets. If your dog or cat is on a prescription diet, has a sensitive stomach or you would just like to continue with their normal food, just bring it along when you check your pet in. There is no difference in price if you supply your own food.

HOW MUCH EXERCISE DOES MY DOG GET?
All our guests go into the play yards daily for around 30 minutes. Our yards have specially designed equipment to provide enrichment to your dogs day. Extra play times and walks are available if required, just speak to one of the team if you would like to arrange extra play sessions. During periods of wet weather we prioritise the dogs with the highest energy levels but still do try to get everyone out for a stretch. Our artificially turfed yards are ready for play as soon as soon as the rain stops.

MY DOG IS NOT SOCIAL, CAN HE STILL STAY WITH YOU?
We will not mix your dog with any other dogs without your permission, so if your dog doesn’t play well with others it is no problem and he or she will still enjoy time out in the yards.

HOW LONG CAN MY PET STAY FOR?
We have dogs that come in for just a few hours and some that stay with us for months. The longest stay we have had was 15 months. For our long term guests we will put together a package that includes extra attention to ensure a happy stay. If you would like to know more about long term stays please give the office a call and one of our staff will be happy to help. During peak periods we do have minimum stay times. You are welcome to have your pet stay for a shorter period but you will be charged for the minimum stay.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN ITS REALLY HOT?
The design and construction material of our facility aids in keeping our kennels as cool as possible but during any extreme heat extra monitoring is done especially of our older guests and brachycephalic breeds. Auto fill water bowl ensure all our dogs have access to plenty of fresh water. When extreme heat is predicted we start much earlier than normal to get dogs exercised before the day heats up. Afternoon plays are done at the end of the day so no one is out in the middle of the day. Runs may be wet down and dogs too if they are happy to do so. We also have paddle pools and offer ice blocks to keep everyone comfortable.

WHEN DO I HAVE TO BOOK?
We can usually take dogs at short notice, but holiday periods tend to book out well in advance. As soon as you have your dates set give us a call and we will organise a booking.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Our daily rate for cats starts at $22, and $26 for dogs. Extra charges may apply so the easiest way is to give us a call and we can put together a quote for you.

WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE A BOARDING FACILITY AND NOT A PET SITTER?
A well run boarding facility offers a safe, caring environment where your much loved family member receives multiple daily interactions with trained staff who are regularly monitoring your pets health and behaviour. There are many good pet sitters and many good boarding facilities who will do their best to care for your fur family, but there are also many pet sitters and boarding facilities who let the industry down. Whether or not you choose Paw Park or another boarding facility or pet sitter, do your research, read reviews and make the best choice for your pet.

WHAT ABOUT CANINE COUGH?
Canine cough is an airborne virus similar to the human cold, and just like the human cold there are many different strains, so even though all dogs entering our resort are fully vaccinated there is still a chance for infection. Your dog can just as easily pick up canine cough on a visit to the dog park as in a boarding facility. Any place where there are multiple dogs there is a risk and vaccination is not 100 percent effective at stopping your dog from contracting canine cough. At Paw Park we have many hygiene procedures in place to keep risk to a minimum, but if a dog was to show symptoms they would be immediately isolated and veterinary treatment sought.
